Preen & Clean Sheffield

We've been using preen and clean for about a year, maybe more, and they've been great... until... maybe the last 3 months when the quality of the clean has been poor. They did us free re-clean but sadly, that wasn't great either. Would have recommended them 8 months ago, don't feel like I can now.

Very disappointed with the service provided. The first time they did the clean I was on holiday. I got home and the windows were dirty, but I paid and didn’t complain as I was not sure if the windows got dirty while I was away after the clean. The second time, I was at home and saw window cleaner was done in 3 minutes with our 4 windows and they were left just as dirty as before if not more, so I requested a re-clean. The same happened with the re-clean. I sent the company pictures and told them I won’t pay for this incredibly disappointing job that they had done already 3 times. They agreed the work was not up to standard and offered to re-clean. I was not sure if I wanted to have the windows cleaned with them again given that they already messed it up and wasted my time 3 times. But then I decided I wanted to give them a last chance and agree to a re-clean. They then informed me that they can’t arrange this anymore due to the window cleaner being away for two weeks and had the audacity to tell me I have £13 outstanding balance. At this point I think they should pay me for my time wasted and all the trouble of my windows becoming dirtier than before. I now have to find another company that will hopefully do a better job.

What can i say . Arrived on time and was very professional . Very efficent and gave my windows a proper clean even though they not been done for a long time . So glad i decided to go with Preen &Clean will look forward to sparkly windows . Very reasonable pricing too.

Appalled at the service. I was initially given a timeframe with dates for the first clean, but once that period had passed I had to chase them myself before anything was finally booked in. When the first clean did happen, the technician spent less than a minute on the front windows and didn’t even attempt the back of the property. The standard of the clean was very poor too, with plenty of streaks and residue left behind. Honestly, the windows looked better before they were cleaned. I would strongly advise staying clear of this company. Reply to owner: My name is Adam, not James. Correct — I did not take up your offer of a re-clean. After the original visit somehow managed to leave the windows looking dirtier than they were beforehand, I had no confidence that a second visit would improve matters. What also added to the poor experience was receiving an invoice immediately despite the substandard service provided. Given some of the other reviews mentioning escalation over payment, I chose to pay simply because I did not want the hassle of any further disputes or debt collection threats. I’d rather not have any further dealings with your company. I’ve accepted this as a bad experience and moved on.

Happy with first clean, friendly and polite, better clean as hot water used our previous window cleaner used cold water . The fact that they give a text day before is very useful if you are busy.

Would recommend. Great communication, easy methods to pay post-clean, etc. Re-arranged the clean a few times, but I do feel this was reasonable given the current weather! First clean is of good quality, haven't quite caught everything - but they are dirty windows. I have faith they will be spotless in time.

Ordered a clean for my Mum who’d been trying to get a good window cleaner for about a year. Del from Preen & Clean did a great job of cleaning some very dirty windows, Mum said she’d never seen the window surrounds looking so clean and white. Strongly recommended.
