Ovenu Edinburgh Central - Oven Cleaning Service

Ovenu was established in 1994 and founded by owner Rik Hellewell, with incorporation following in 1999. The Edinburgh Central operation is led by Keith Lamb, who joined Ovenu in 2006 and averages around 40 oven cleans each month. Technicians are professionally trained and fully insured, and they are fully trained to an ISO standard. The company uses eco-friendly cleaning products, specifically proprietary non-caustic and biodegradable products, and a bespoke stainless-steel dipping tank for soaking elements. Background checks and vetting procedures are carried out for all technicians.

Services include cleaning single ovens, double ovens, electric hobs, gas hobs, hoods, ranges, AGA, and Lacanche, and are offered to landlords and tenants. The cleaning process involves arrival, soaking removable components, deep cleaning the rest of the oven, and polishing. The service area includes Edinburgh Central, Leith, Newhaven, Southside, Newington, Canongate, Abbyhill, Mountcastle, Marchmont, Grange, Blackford, Causewayside, Morningside, Fairemilehead, Gorgie, Stenhouse, Sighthill, The Calders, Murrayfield, Corstorphine, Gyle, Longstone, Slateford, Wester Hailes, Juniper Green, Currie, Balerno, Portobello, and Duddingston, covering postcodes EH1, EH2, EH3, EH4, EH5, EH6, EH7, EH8, and EH9.

Ovenu Edinburgh Central has built its reputation on restoring ovens and hobs that owners had assumed were beyond saving, with Keith the technician named again and again across accounts. Reviewers repeatedly remark that appliances several years old, including one in use for two decades, come back looking as though newly installed, and the glass door is singled out for particular attention. Something that features in review after review is how straightforward Keith is to deal with: prompt replies to enquiries, a quote arranged without fuss and a slot found at short notice for a tenancy changeover or ahead of a festive gathering.

He is described as approachable and trustworthy, someone householders are comfortable leaving to work in their kitchen, and as a professional who takes visible pride in the finish he achieves. Both landlords with rental portfolios and ordinary residents call on him, and thoroughness is the quality mentioned most consistently. The whole process, from the first exchange of messages to the completed appliance, is portrayed as unhurried and free of complication, which is why so many customers say they would return for future oven cleaning work.
