Tame Cleaning

Tame Cleaning & Maintenance Limited was formed in December 2005 and is named after the River Tame. The company, founded by Richard Evans, has more than 20 years of experience and directly employs over 350 staff. Richard Evans and Todd Evans are directors. Tame Cleaning holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations and is audited annually by an external company on quality, health and safety and environmental performance. It serves Birmingham and the West Midlands, with clients including Birmingham City Council, The NHS, Volvo, Audi, Selco and Veolia.

The company has two offices in Birmingham. Staff are DBS checked, uniformed, reference checked and trained in COSHH and Health & Safety, and are trained by in-house BICS qualified managers. Staff have access to a free 24-hour BUPA helpline. Tame Cleaning provides customers with method statements, risk assessments, COSHH assessments and an insurance policy. It specialises in office cleaning, commercial contract cleaning and school cleaning, and offers office cleaning, school cleaning, commercial cleaning, daily cleaning, car showroom cleaning and communal area cleaning.

Reliability paired with a professional attitude is the theme running through accounts of this Birmingham firm, whether the job concerns offices, end-of-tenancy premises or industrial sites. Commercial clients note that the cleaning continues without interrupting their working day, and that the same standard is maintained week after week. The company’s involvement in taking over an existing cleaning contract is described as well handled, with staff retrained and placed under an account manager rather than left to the client. Aaron and Richard are both singled out by name for their personal involvement and for treating customers and suppliers with respect.

Punctual, friendly teams are said to go beyond the basic brief, leaving windows, beams, skirting boards and floors genuinely spotless. Kitchen extraction cleaning and construction cleaning are among the services mentioned, as is a student accommodation block cleaned at short notice when a previous provider withdrew. Communication stands out for its speed, with queries answered and schedules adjusted without fuss. Praise also covers the thorough finish achieved in older buildings and the courteous manner of staff working around students moving in. A hard-working, organised outfit that does what it promises across commercial and industrial contracts.
