If talking a good game were an Olympic sport, Shaun would have taken home gold, silver and bronze. The man arrived with the confidence of someone about to perform carpet miracles, the sort of confidence usually reserved for surgeons, astronauts or people who’ve absolutely done the job before. He launched into a TED Talk on wool carpets, educating me on fibres, pH levels and stain-lifting techniques like he was narrating a gripping nature documentary. I was impressed. I genuinely thought I’d found the David Attenborough of carpet care. He promised stains would vanish, traffic marks would lift, and that he’d heroically move the sofas to clean behind them. Now remember, the room is nearly 40 square metres. A solid job. One that should take time, care, effort, possibly a small prayer. Shaun was done in under an hour. I’ve boiled potatoes slower. Before I even had a chance to stand up, he’d packed his kit faster than someone evacuating a building during a fire drill. He was out the door, van started and halfway down the road before my brain caught up. I asked multiple times if he’d cleaned behind the sofas, and each time he nodded with the enthusiasm of someone who really didn’t want me to check. Naturally, I checked. And behind every sofa was bone dry. Not just cleaned dry, I mean hasn’t seen moisture since the dawn of civilisation dry. Huge sections of the carpet looked untouched, and once everything dried, the room looked exactly the same. Not slightly better. Not a bit brighter. If you took a photo before and after, you could play spot-the-difference and lose. Even the stains looked smug, as if they knew they’d survived an attack that never actually happened. The carpet was so unchanged, I genuinely questioned whether Shaun had cleaned anything at all or just waved the machine vaguely in the direction of the floor while thinking about lunch. So if you’re considering hiring Shaun, don’t. Book someone else. Rent a machine. Use a sponge. Hire a small child with enthusiasm and a spray bottle. Anything would give you better results. In summary, Shaun talks the talk, but when it comes to cleaning carpets, the only thing he truly cleaned out was my wallet. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Five years on and worked out today I gave been using Shaun for over 30 years. Today he cleaned all the carpets (a large 4 double bedroomed house). He also cleaned two large rugs which are quite old but loved, and two dog soiled sofas (my dog has a leaky bladder!).He worked like a trajan, just never stopped. Everything has come up sparkling so to speak, and the house smells much sweeter. He does a 25/30 mile journey to get to me and is always on time. I wouldn't go to anyone else.
Shaun was a super friendly guy to deal with. He explained the process clearly, arrived on time and did a fantastic job on our carpets. The carpets were completely dry by the end of the same day, and we had this done in January. Highly recommend.
Shaun's been cleaning our carpets for about 20 years and he always does a great job. He's punctual, polite and explains the costs, plus what will happen, upfront. We used a different firm once before and didn't get as good as a result, so we have stuck with Shaun ever since.

Sean cleaned carpets and rugs at my in law's house and everything came up looking new. He was efficient, knew his stuff and was genuinely nice to have around. Will definitely be using him again. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sean.
